COACH PERFUMES AND POUND CAKE ONCE HAD SOMETHING IN COMMON …

What did Coach and Pound Cake have in common?

Let me put you out of your misery immediately – From 1985 till 2000, Coach was owned by Sara Lee, an American company famously known for its pound cake.
Coach started as a leather-goods company in 1941 but only got its now name “Coach” in the mid-1970s. It used to be known as Gail leatherworks.

The first fragrance from Coach, was launched in 2007. It was a perfume for women. Coach fragrances today are offered in conjunction with Estee Lauder Companies. You would think a company named Coach would have a lot of woody, leathery and aromatic type scents: On the contrary its floral women’s scents like the Blush Series and Coach New York for women, all do very well.

While the men’s collection often do have woody dominant accords, they tend to be aromatic – which is a sweeter woody scent. Coach perfumes for men and women fall into two main collections (there are others but they are less popular) – Coach New York (Men and Women), which is its Classic range and Blush for women.
